Refund policy


[Clause 1] Accident, Incident, Natural disasters        

- 1. The school shall not be held responsible for any incident or accident which happens outside the school premises while students are on trip or during weekends or when they are out during weekdays. It shall be the sole accountability of the students to keep themselves safe and to be aware of what is prohibited.        

- 2. The school shall not be held responsible for any lost or missing items. It shall be the sole accountability of the students to guard and keep their valuable belongings in a safe place.        

- 3. In the event that classes are cancelled or suspended due to natural disasters, delayed flights, or any other transportation concerns, the school shall not be obliged to provide a makeup class for such cancellation or suspension.



[Clause 2] Study Extension        

- 1. A study extension is on a first come and first reserved basis.        

- 2. When a student fails to submit the extension form before the deadline, extension might be cancelled without prior notice.

- 3. A study extension fee must be made within 3 days after such extension is confirmed by the school manager. In case that a student fails to make a deposit on/before the deadline, he/she should verbally inform the manager of the delay.

- 4. In the event that a student would like to cancel the intended extension before the extended class term begins, only 50 percent of the paid fee shall be refunded.

- 5. Application for extension should be made through the school. If it is filed through an agency, the extension will lose its validity.



[Clause 3] Class and Change of a teacher

- 1. All regular classes are 45-minute long and there is a 5-minute break every after regular class.        

- 2. If a student is late for more than 15 minutes, he / she shall be considered absent even if he/she attended the class.

- 3. There are 5 class days in a week, and one term is composed of 4 weeks.

- 4. Boracay Travis English Academy strictly observes national, local and special holidays and no classes shall be conducted on those days specified by Philippine laws.

- 5. There is no refund of class fee, resort room charges, and other school service expenditures caused by natural disasters and incidents that are beyond control.

- 6. Class teachers are assigned every 4 weeks. If a student would like to request for a change of teacher, it shall be granted after 2 weeks. In the event that a student requests for an immediate change of his/her teacher, he/she should meet the school manager.

- 7. To change a group class to a 1:1 class is not possible. A dropout from a group class is allowed only after consultations. An extra 1:1 class can be provided with an additional fee.

- 8. A request for an extra class should be discussed with the school manager. The payment for a class should be made at least 1 week before the class starts.

- 9. In the event of labor disputes, resignation of faculty members, cases where any faculty members do not comply with the school policy including punctuality, display of good behavior, student and member relationship, the school has the right to take immediate action to correct it and classes or teachers shall be changed.

- 10. If a student’s level is too low or too advanced to be grouped with other classmates, the school has the right to change/modify his/her classes and in that case, the student cannot request for the refund or any other financial claim.

        

        

[Clause 4] Change of Course, Program or  Curriculum

- The school course and program are subject to change in accordance with the changes in curriculum without prior notice on the school website or Social Network Service medium.        

        

        

[Clause 5] Certificate of Graduation        

- A Certificate of Graduation shall be given to those who presents more than 90% of classes (except the optional classes) for the entire duration of their stay.



[Clause 6] Travis English Language Course Cancellation and Refund Policy.


All applications for cancelations and refunds should be emailed Warm Welcome. We will issue a full refund if you cancel your course at least 4 weeks before the start date.


A 30% non-refundable deposit is required 4 weeks prior to start date.


If you cancel your course between your start date and 3 weeks before your start date we will charge the cost of 1 weeks tuition and a registration fee of 0.

Warm Welcome is not obliged to make a refund once the course has started.

In very special circumstances, it may be possible to extend it to the next camp.

Warm Welcome has the right to ask for evidence before issuing a refund – visa refusal letter, medical reports or other relevant documentation resulting in the need for cancellation.


The School reserves the right to cancel courses without notice and will offer students a full refund or alternative course at no extra cost. 


No refund will be given for missed classes. Refunds will not be given if a student intends to stay in Boracacy without studying, move to another language school or is asked to leave school due to disciplinary issues.


Refunds will not be given for any holidays taken but the end date of courses can be extended. This will only be allowed for full weeks taken from Monday to Friday.

Resort Room Regulations


[Clause 1] Personal Belongings        

- 1. The school shall not be held responsible for any lost or missing items. It shall be the sole accountability of the students to guard and keep their valuable belongings in a secured place. (The school shall keep valuable belongings upon request.)        



[Clause 2] Resort room Rules

- 1. No student is allowed to enter other students’ room regardless of the gender. When a student gets caught entering another student’s room, he/she shall be given a warning.        

- 2. In order not to disturb classes, loud conversations between/among students along the hallway are strictly prohibited. They are however allowed to talk freely at the lounges.

- 3. All students must observe silence from 10 pm to 7 am of the following day.



[Clause 3] Smoking

- Smoking is only allowed at a designated smoking area. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the rooms and campus.  Penalty for smoking inside the campus is Php 10,000.        



[Clause 4] Electric Appliances

- Students are not allowed to use any electric appliances such as coffee maker, portable burner, etc. in their own rooms. For any damage that the school or resort may suffer inside/outside the property as a result of such violation, the students concerned shall be made responsible in the payment of corresponding fine or penalties.        



[Clause 5] Expulsion

- 1. When a student has accumulated 3 counts of violation of major rules, he/she shall be expelled from the school.        

Major rules : Prohibition on bringing or drinking alcohol beverages, smoking in areas that are not designated for such, entering other students’ room.

- 2. When a student is expelled from the school, no refund shall be made for the remaining term he/she has already paid. Also, the school will not issue a Certificate of Graduation.
